Vision Partners has supplied a customer-specific machine vison inspection system that can measure the thermal profile of an inductively sealed product. The special feature is that this thermal inspection can be performed while the plastic sealing cap is already attached to the package. The seal inspection checks various aspects of the inductive sealing process:

  • No aluminum foil present
  • Aluminum foil placed upside down
  • Multiple aluminum foil placed

The solution consists of a high-resolution thermal camera placed above the production line. Thermal image capture is triggered after which Machine Vision software evaluates the thermal image.

Logging of inspection results

A logging feature has also been implemented. Inspection results are displayed on a screen and faults are logged for reporting and following up on any customer inquiries.

Thanks to this thermal inspection, customers worldwide are delivered with consistent quality. One satisfied customer.

"Thermal inspection must be reliable and always working. A collaboration where fast and approachable service is important because it is essential that the system is always running."
