Vision Partners has developed a customer-specific machine vison inspection system that allows automatic inspection of various aspects of composite products:
- Are your correct components incorporated into the assembled product?
- Does the assembled product have the correct dimensions?
The elaborated solution consists of a high-resolution camera with accompanying LED lighting which creates a high-contrast image of the assembled product. The image must be high-contrast so that the different parts of the product can be seen individually.
Matching composite product with STEP or DWG
Then this picture is compared with the STEP file (e.g. DWG) of the product which is retrieved from the database. This has the advantage that this matching is automatic and that it is not necessary to learn each product again.
In addition to recognizing the different parts, dimensions are also checked. In the image below, the connectors between the profiles are identified and the system also validates the length and width.
Vision Partners supplies the entire system, including control cabinet, touchscreen display and interfaced with the client's databases and production machines.
