Certainty about every package, right on the line
A weak or contaminated seal is often only discovered when a package leaks, a product has absorbed moisture, or a customer reports a complaint. Manual and destructive tests only provide information about a small sample. What happens between those measurement moments remains unknown.
SEALVIS checks every packaging immediately after the sealing process. Contactless, without product loss, and without slowing down the production line. This way, deviations become visible before the packaging is palletized or leaves the factory.
From sampling to inspection of every seal
- Every package is checked automatically
- Do not open or destroy any packaging before the measurement
- Detection through paper, black plastic film and printed packaging
- Direct OK/NOK signal for line control
- Understanding the cause of an anomaly
- Registration per packaging, batch and time

This is how SEALVIS works
During sealing, heat is introduced into the seal seam. SEALVIS uses this existing heat profile to assess the quality of the seam. An industrial thermal imaging camera captures the seal while it is still warm. Anomalies such as product trapped in the seal, wrinkles, insufficient heat input, or a broken seam cool down differently and thus become visible.
The software evaluates, among other things, the temperature, length, and minimum height of the seal, as well as the extent of local deviations. The result is immediately fed back to the PLC so that a defective package can be automatically rejected.
Not just condemning, but improving your process
The biggest gain is often not in finding one defective package, but in recognizing earlier when a process starts to deviate. For example, a dropping seal temperature can indicate contamination or wear. A structurally too short seal can point to a timing problem between filling and closing.
Because SEALVIS records the measured values and images, trends become visible before they lead to large numbers of rejections. This also makes seal inspection a practical tool for process monitoring and preventive maintenance.
Suitable for existing production lines
SEALVIS is integrated as a turn-key retrofit solution. The setup can consist of an industrial thermal imaging camera, a product sensor, and a stainless steel control box with a touchscreen. The connection to the line is via industrial I/O or optionally OPC-UA.
Vision Partners handles the research, engineering, installation, validation, and training. In advance, we can determine whether the application is suitable and where the best measurement point is located by using test recordings of your own packaging.
For which packaging?
SEALVIS is particularly interesting for packaging where the seal is visually difficult to assess.
Paper/PE valve bags
for dry bulk goods
Printed plastic packaging
opaque
Bags
for powders, granulates and building materials
Product between seal
packaging where product can get trapped in the seal
Too little certainty
production lines where destructive sampling provides insufficient certainty
Clear boundaries, reliable enforcement
SEALVIS meets indicators for seal quality and continuity. It is not an absolute leak test. Therefore, during commissioning, we align the limit values with your packaging, product, and existing quality method. This creates a control that matches your own process and quality standards.
